I doubt a download service would be able to offer unlimited movie downloads, at least not for a price next to netflix. Netflix "unlimited" movies really aren't because they are limited by the speed of the post office (and artificially limited even more by Netflix if you watch too many).
Except that under NetFlix, theortically (and I know people do this) you could get the DVDs, rip them, and send them back same day. Under a d/l scheme, you can only view the movies with a license. You only get, say 3 licenses. So you'd have to physically watch the movie, if you wanted to see it, before getting more. That would act as a brake on how many d/ls an avg. customer would make a month because most people only have time to watch 2-5 DVDs a month...if that. As for those who abuse the system, nothing to stop Apple from cutting people off just like Netflix does.

Ive said it befour and I say it again.
I think ..
The edge-to-edge concept is what we likely will get BUT its not the SCREEN that getting LARGER ... its the PHONE that getting SMALLER ...
the iPhone 5 will likely keep the same screen size but the acual phone and the beziel will get smaller ... there are more non-geeks out there who think that iPhone is to LARGE and incressing its size is not the way to go ...
to sum it up (Expected Roadmap)
iPhone 4S - Release 2011
- Dual Core processor (with 9x GPU (same as iPad 2))
- 32 GB, 64 GB Model
- Full 1080p Camera (8MP) (Backside Camera)
- TV Mirroring (same as iPad 2)
- IOS 4.x
- FaceTime over 3G
- if the iphone 4S (2011) is getting 4G / LTE the name will defently be .... iPhone 4GS . because its both a 4G phone and a Speed bump ..
iPhone 5 - Release 2012
- LTE / 4G Network !!!
- Smaller phone, edge-to-edge beziel but same screen size as iphone 4 iPhone 4S / iPhone 4GS
- iOS 5
- Imporved Front-Side Camera
- FaceTime HD (Require LTE/4G Network)

Didn't all your methods, whatever they are called, give a priority to do the parenthesis operation first?
It is not my assumption, it is the method/explanation given by others
I already took that into account. Can't you see?
48/2(12) is something we should all be able to agree on. anything in parentheses must be evaluated before anything else.
x/y(a+b) becomes x/y(c). That's the P in PEMDAS and it's done. At this point there are only multiply and divide operations left. This is just x/y*c which should be evaluated left to right. Because it is indistinguishable from x*d*c = x*(1/y)*c. I can commute operands to get x*c*(1/y) and rewrite that as xc/y should I want to.

I'll say it again this is the start of the end of mac os!
"Preferrd method of downloading LION"
how long will it take apple to say this is the ONLY way you can download future updates/releases of Mac OS?
Then the app store being the ONLY way you can download software on a mac! crippling web browser downloads locking users into apples walled garden app store!
so no loging onto a non apple website for software to a new program/no pirate bay/no dodgy mp3s everthing vetted by the app store like the ipad/iphone!
I hate the way this is all heading!

Mobileme is certainly worth more than free. Apple doesn't scrape your emails and other data to target adds at you a la Google.
Yes, but a la Google works. MobileMe is crap. So if they make it free then you'd either get free crap without ads, or free stuff that works with ads. Seems fair.

Yo! check out this key clause to Amazon's Terms Of Use >

WTF ???!!!
Wonderful, in that Files are encouraged to include photos, documents, etc.

I remember in elementary school, learning about the metric system since we were all going to switch to it. That never happened. I wonder why....
A fair question.
Ask NASA about the 'problem' with the Mars orbiter (http://articles.cnn.com/1999-09-30/tech/9909_30_mars.metric.02_1_climate-orbiter-spacecraft-team-metric-system?_s=PM:TECH). :D

That has nothing to due with quality. It's due to low manufacturing costs.
And in many cases making software or services requires more brainpower and sophistication than making a physical product. Japan has yet to produce a world-class software company outside of video games.
So this "American products are low quality" argument just doesn't hold water any way you look at it.
What I'd like to see are some concrete examples of poor quality products that were made in America. I hear a lot of people stating that we make subpar products, but I haven't heard any examples.
I'm not defending either position, just want someone to present some evidence.
I don't think the Chrysler argument will hold up anymore seeing as how most automobiles have a foreign influence on them, so let's stray from automobiles on this one.

But how do you boot from a disk image without a disk???
Restore it to an external (but you do not have to do this to install Lion. The installer will install some things while in SL, then restart and finish the installation).

Can't store my music on my work machines.
Similar issue here. I have been hooking my phone to my computer to listen to music while at work. Now I can dump all my music into the cloud and listen.

I guess I see the connection to the ignition, but only activating when there is a phone in cradle seems like a strange use of bluetooth ... why not use hardwire connection to eliminate any potential for interference ... or open up and allow use as speaker phone in car regardless of phone in cradle
I don't believe Magellan uses bluetooth in this way
I found this on the Magellan website. It appears that their Bluetooth is set up differently than the TomTom kit:
Can I undock the iPhone from the Premium Car Kit and keep my Bluetooth connection?

as other said, the leader mostly acts as the official speaker for the group, but he/she can also decide things of his/her own volition. This should ensure a bit more of pace to the game (since we don't have to majority vote every decision).
later in the game, it also allows people with their own agenda
if someone strongly disagree i think they can always unilaterally split out and go wherever they want, as long as it is before the official order in bold is given.
I updated my post #47 with ravenvii correction, which now i think contains a more exaustive (second) explanation of the rules.
ranvenvii, if you have time to to amend it where it is incorrect and add it as 'canon' to the original rule post, i think it would be helpful.

back to our immediate business, I can be the fearless inspiring leader (for now), as long as i don't have to drag your lazy arses away from any sparkling trinkets you find on the way.
and no, Wilmer, that mummified rat's leg does NOT constitute 'treasure' and you may NOT keep it as a pendant. geesh, i should send you for a month mining with my cousins in the old Moth O'Rol caves searching for them inexistent gggggems, and maybe you'd grow a spine.
we have a qualified majority of votes, so i will lead the first group into the room top right, explore and then we can come back here and explore this room. this of course means that the barking donkey that is trying to impress us with his parlor tricks has time to build up some strength and put more monsters/traps in our way.
if two-three want to split out now and explore this room while we move to the next, i think it is a good idea, especially you Rosius, since if we happen to meet a sea urchin or sommthing in there, you might get hurt, and as much as it pains me to admit, we might need your 'talents' later on.
i'll wait till later in the morn and then go

If in fact Apple waits until September for the iPhone 5 and even then only have a speed bump and a slightly better camera, this picture is only going to get worse. They need 4G, a larger screen, a microSD slot or a bump to 64 GB, a USB input, and the rest of the MODERN hardware features that HTC phones are putting out almost monthly.
